This Spring I will be co-curating an exhibition at the
Center with two awesome women,
Kathleen Cullen and
Gwen Shockey.
We're doing a women's exhibition addressing our intersecting identities as artists, daughters, lovers, mothers, from all ages, races, social classes, and cultures. If you're a bad ass woman artist in New York, or know someone who is, tell them about this amazing opportunity! We're accepting submissions until March 1st!Here's the formal information: (

In recognition of Women’s History Month we want to celebrate the contribution of New York’s women artists with an exhibition honoring our creative power. As women we inhabit intersecting, often conflicting, identities. Our creative expression is informed by our unique experiences as women, as members of varying classes, races, sexualities, as mothers, daughters and lovers, as New Yorkers and as artists. The show will examine how New York’s women artists channel these themes through their work, and, by exhibiting a variety of lived realities, will attempt to provide insight into the lives of women today.
We would like a wide variety of media by women from all backgrounds and all paths to claim this space of acceptance.
The Center is a unique platform for female and queer artistic expression. We have previously exhibited the work of Mireia Sallarés, Catherine Opie, Kiki Smith, Joann Santangelo, Fierce Pussy, Wu Ingrid Tsang, Catherine Gund, Magdalena Castañeda, Kelly Klein and The Guerrilla Girls among others.
